Congressional Outreach

Client
Independent Forest Products Association
Objective
Manage a multi-year communications campaign providing written advocacy documents from a trade association of independent softwood lumber makers to select members of Congress.
Course of Action
Helped IFPA identify key members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Created a set of advocacy products with a consistent look and feel.
Wrote and distributed hundreds of separate documents to approximately 125 senators and representatives over a four-year period.
Results
Successfully communicated IFPA's positions on a variety of issues (public timber supply, small business set-asides, forest health legislation, estate tax repeal, etc.) to the selected audiences.
Provided information products that were actually read and used by both members of Congress and their staff assistants.
